Vandenberg Woodcraft is an independently owned workshop in New Westminster, BC, Canada, where every item is meticulously handcrafted by a single artisan. We’re more than just wood—we fuse precious gemstones like ancient amber, fragments of meteorites, reproposed skateboard decks, and even dinosaur bones into each creation. No live animals are ever used; only extinct fossils and responsibly reclaimed materials make their way into our studio. While our signature focus is on rings, we also craft pens, keychains, and pendants with the same passion for innovation. Custom commissions are enthusiastically welcomed—whether you bring your own idea or entrust me to design something unique, every piece transforms from production into true art.

• Concept & Design
  We translate your vision or our inspiration into reality that marry wood with unexpected materials.

• Material Sourcing
  Every board is hand-selected for character, while gemstones, meteorite fragments, and fossils are vetted for authenticity and stability.

• Creation & Assembly
  All work is done in-house by me, the sole artisan—no outsourcing. Traditional joinery and my personally developed methods ensure each item is set one by one with precision and care.

• Sanding & Finishing
  Layered sanding up to 20,000 grit combined with trade-secret techniques brings out depth and luster. We seal with top-quality, food-safe oils and finishes to celebrate each material’s uniqueness and protect it.

  We choose plant-based oils and water-based finishes when available that are all safe for your home and the planet.

  Only extinct specimens are used, ensuring no impact on living creatures or protected species.
